All Star Game Betting is Live at RealBet.euWhen it comes to baseball All Star game betting, most people think that there is really no point. Now that makes sense from a handicapping point of view, but there is also the pure enjoyment of watching baseball’s most talented players playing what is essentially a big league version of a pick up game. It all starts tonight at the Miami Marlins home field with the 8pm Eastern Home Run Derby.

I personally like to do a little MLB All Star game betting as it always makes things a little more fun. Of course the famed Home Run Derby is always a blast and will go tonight. Check out all of the Home Run Derby props here for all the odds on every hitter. I think the hometown advantage will make things easier for Miami Marlon Giancarlo Stanton who is the +150 favorite- but watch out for phenom Aaron Judge just behind him at +160.

All Star Game Betting – MLB Lines and Odds

The National League are currently the small favorites to win the 2017 All-Star Game at -115 on the moneyline. The American League, who are a little less talented this year to be sure, are +105 dogs. The MLB All-Star Game is usually a pick’em for obvious reasons and this one is no different.

2017 All-Star Game Betting – Pointspread Odds

The pointspread for the ASG has the American League at +1.5 -200 which I think is a bit short given some of their hitting woes. Of course this features the “best of the best” in Major League Baseball so they should all be decent hitters.

The National League are +170 on the -1.5 run line and I like this number a lot better. I think this is the NL’s year again, and I expect it won’t be different when it comes to this season’s All Star Game betting. If you are interested in the point spread, or run line, then I would recommend taking the NL on this wager.

MLB Betting Online – Over Unders

The All Star Game is usually a bit of a hit fest and you know that the league’s best pitchers will not be blowing out an arm on what is essentially an exhibition game. Hitters on the other hand will no doubt be looking to keep their swings hot so should be looking to ding some long balls.

The Total or Over/Under for the All-Star Game currently sits at 9.0 and I like the Over here. As I said, pitchers will be saving their arms and hitters will be hitting so I think this will be a solid bet. At RealBet the Under is -115 which doesn’t make much sense to me- but the Over is the cheaper -105. So take the Over and save some money on the juice.

Whether you choose to bet or not, sit back and enjoy the game with some Scotch and some sort of grilled meat and you can’t go wrong. The All Star Games of the various professional leagues always provide a welcome break from the intense rivalry of the sport. Also as a point of interest, the winning league of the MLB All-Star Game will no longer get home field advantage during the World Series- curious to see if that becomes a big factor down the road!
