NCAA Football Odds are Live at RealBet.euWhen reviewing NCAA Football odds for kickoff of the 2017 season, I am reminded that college betting lines can be very difficult to handicap. There are a number of factors that bettors need to take into account when deciding on NCAA football odds that will be the difference between success and frustration.

Firstly, realize that these are kids. Talented kids yes but kids none the less. As such they are going to make mistakes and mistakes will make handicapping difficult. Secondly, the difference between freshmen and seniors is huge. Sure on a NFL team you have rookies and veterans but the gap is much closer. And lastly, college football teams vary greatly in talent and abilities even in Division I which means blowouts and running up the score. In short, accept some fun volatility when it comes to betting college football totals for instance.

NCAA Football Odds – Oregon State vs. Colorado State

A good way to jump into some NCAA handicapping is to look at some NCAA football odds for a couple of today’s games. First up is the Oregon State and Colorado State games. The Beavers are coming off some years of average play and are currently not ranked nationally. They are +4 pointspread underdogs away at Colorado State which essentially makes this game a pick’em.

The Rams are small favorites in their home game which is handy as they are breaking in a new stadium. Like the Beavers, the Rams are not nationally ranked or anticipated to win the Mountain West Conference. However, football is football and I think as -190 favorites the Rams are priced a little steep. Playing in a new stadium though has to be a significant boost so maybe think about the Over 61 here as this could be a shootout.

NCAA Betting Online – Rice vs. Stanford

Stanford is starting out the year ranked #14 nationally which is not bad for a bunch of eggheads. Although considered one of the “minor Ivy League schools”, Stanford raises astounding amounts of alumni money and thus has one of the best overall sports programs in the country. They are not favored to win the PAC 12 this year with the resurgence of USC, but sit third in terms of NCAA football odds at +550 to win the conference. They will be competitive and tough this year so look for marginal dog spreads in home games to bet on as they will most likely punch above their weight.

College Football Picks – Online Sports Betting

Rice on the other hand is often a bland side dish. Or in this case a fairly mediocre football team. Rice is unranked this season and is currently +5000 to win the super awkwardly named Conference USA Conference. The pointspread is atmospherically high as you can imagine with Rice being +31.5 under dogs. There currently isn’t a moneyline available which is basically “the mercy rule” in action. The Over Under is at 51.5 which seems a bit low but I could see Rice being held to maybe 10 points at Stanford. Have fun with this one and I might place a small wager on the Over just for the heck of it.
