NFL Week 16 Predictions- Sports Betting Tips

Bet on Green Bay and Arizona at RealBetNFL Week 16 predictions are the source of some discussion at the RealBet offices at the moment. However, what isn’t up for debate is that by the end of this week all twelve playoff spots could be established. The New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers can both clinch the top seeds, whereas the Cincinnati Bengals and the Arizona Cardinals can both clinch a first round bye. After that, it gets a little bit dicey.

Let’s take a look at the two most fascinating spreads this week and break it down for you every which way till Sunday.

The Washington Redskins (+3) at the Philadelphia Eagles

In a game that can decide the NFC East winner, this contest may have the most dramatic playoff implications of the week. With both the New York Giants and Eagles losing last weekend, the Redskins are one win away from clinching a rather improbable NFC East title.

The Redskins are a rather average team when you break it down. 16th in points for, 16th in points against, 15th in passing yards per game, and 20th in rushing yards per game. Nothing to write home about. However, they play in the NFC East where being average means you can clinch a divisional title with a week to spare.

NFL Week 16 Predictions – Eagles Mediocre

On the flip side, the Eagles have been a mediocre offensive team all year posting similar numbers to the Redskins. However, it’s on the other side of the ball where they’ve tailed off during the 2nd half of the season. At 25.9 points against per game, the Eagles rank 27th in scoring defense and have given up the most points of any team in the NFC East.

These teams played earlier in the year in a game that saw the Skins win a tight one 23-20. This time, the game will be played in Philadelphia and that’s troublesome for Washington. Before their win at Chicago two weeks ago, the Skins had lost all five games on the road this season. Granted, it’s not as if the Eagles have been world beaters at home. But in a game that decides your season, neither of these mediocre teams wants to play it outside of their own backyard.

Skins QB Kirk Cousins is playing his best football of the season and has a legitimate shot at clearing 4,000 passing yards for his career. Sam Bradford on the other hand is also playing his best football of the season, but given how poor he was at the start of the year that’s not really saying a whole lot.

Either way, with the Skins one win away from clinching the NFC East, this game has major playoff implications and should be the marquee match up of the opening slate of games.

The Green Bay Packers (+4.5) at the Arizona Cardinals – Wager Tips

The Cardinals might be the best team in football. 2nd in the league in points for, tied for 6th in points against, and coming off a very impressive win at Philadelphia where they threw up an effortless 40 points.

Green Bay comes into this game playing uncharacteristically sloppy on the offensive side of the ball. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t played like the MVP over the second half of the season, and it’s been the Packers defense that’s been the strong unit on this team. The Packers rarely go into a game as underdogs, but this week they come into Arizona more than field goal underdogs.

A loss for Green Bay and they open the door for the Minnesota Vikings to come back and steal the division. A win for Arizona and they clinch a first round bye and the NFC West title, holding off the surging Seattle Seahawks in the process. This game has an added layer of excitement, as this could very well be a playoff preview with both teams appearing to be on a collision course in the second round.

Two offenses that have the potential to light it up hit the field in Arizona this week. The Cardinals are coming in shorthanded with Pro Bowl Safety Tyrann Mathieu out for the season with a torn ACL. Will this be the break the Packers need to get their offense back on track? Or will the Cards do what they’ve been doing all year – roll right along to another win.
