Australian Open Betting Women's TennisAustralian Open betting is now live at RealBet and I have been taking a look at some of the tennis lines. The usual favorites continue to be atop the world rankings with Serena Williams, Andy Murray, and Novak Djokovic favored to win a grand slam.

Let’s start with the Women’s tennis betting odds and take a look at some numbers to see if we can find any profit to be had.

Australian Open Betting – Serena Williams

You can’t even begin to talk about women’s Australian Open betting without starting with Serena Williams. Although no longer the world No.1 having been replaced by Angelique Kerber, Williams remains the No.2 and betting favorite. She currently sits as the -750 favorite against Lucie Safarova which is a match she should win handily. Williams is on a mission to dethrone Steffi Graff for all time Grand Slam wins and this could be the year.

Tennis Betting Lines – Angelique Kerber

Angelique Kerber is the defending 2016 Women’s Australian Open Champion having defeated Serena Williams in the final. Kerber is seeking to repeat and stay in the No. 1 spot but will most likely have to go through Williams for that. At 29, she is the oldest female player to become a world No. 1 for the first time but just seems to be hitting her stride. It is a refreshing change to see some vital competition at the top of the Women’s rankings, and a rematch with Serena will be a doozy. Kerber is currently a -650 favorite against 5th ranked Kristyna Pliskova in her next match. I expect a Williams/Kerber finals rematch.

Betting Tennis Online – Odds and Lines

After Kerber and Williams there are some talented women’s tennis players that could force some upsets. Kristyna Pliskova has the talents but I think Kerber is too on top of her game for it to happen in Sydney. Simona Helpa and Agnieszka Radwanska are the #4 and #3 seeds respectively and have had some strong finishes and are legitimate threats. However, if I was a betting man, which I am, I would bank on a final with Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber. Regardless, the Australian Open is always premium tennis action and it should be riveting to watch.
