While compiling my most recent online betting picks, I noticed some value wagers that I thought I would share by restarting a weekly sports preview. Depending on time constraints, I will try and get a couple of these out every month to give my loyal readers a broader scope of potential online betting picks.
I am not picky about where I make my money, and so I make sure to keep an eye on golf, soccer, and auto racing etc. as well as the usual suspects. This often results in some decent online betting picks that make it into my wagering rotation. Let’s take a look at some upcoming events and see where we can find a little profit.
Online Betting Picks – Golf Preview
Let’s just get it out of the way. Tiger. Ok with that over let’s talk this weekend’s Nationwide Memorial Tournament, the FedEx St. Jude’s Classic, and the U.S. Open. Although I will go into the U.S. Open in more detail for my online betting picks as we get closer, what has been interesting is that the winners of the last five or six tournaments have been virtual unknowns. Brian Harman, Shawn Stefani, Kevin Kisner– who?
At the end of the day it will still be the same cast of contenders really in the running for all three tournaments- Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, and Jordan Spieth. Throw in a smattering of Euros in the form of Rory McIlroy and maybe Sergio Garcia and there you go. The big three almost won a couple of the no-name tournaments with some close second place finishes, and I expect them to be getting in to form for these next two tournaments leading up to the U.S. Open. DJ is +550 to win the Memorial with Spieth and Day +1000 and +1200 respectively. Although DJ is clearly awesome, I think the value is too short there so look hard at Day or Spieth.
Champions League Betting Online – Picks and Tips
Ok so you followed my advice and took Manchester United to win the UEFA Europa right? Right? Ok, well if you didn’t here is a chance to redeem your bankroll with my soccer betting tips. The Champions League Final takes place Saturday, June 3rd between Juventus and Real Madrid in Cardiff, Wales. This should be one humdinger of a game as these two elite clubs battle for world wide bragging rights as to who is the best squad on the planet.
The bookies seem to be looking at a Draw in regulation time as being the most likely outcome. Currently Real Madrid are the slight favorites at +142 and Juventus are +177. The Tie is +196 which means that the handicapping world believes that Juventus will play stifling Italian defense against the premier firepower of Real Madrid’s Fernando Torres and Ronaldo and take their chances in a shootout. It would be much more enjoyable to have an attacking club like Bayern Munich in the final against Real but so be it. I would say that if you wanted to pick a regulation time winner than bet Real Madrid at RealBet- say that three times!
